My version of a vision board this year…
The year 2024 has been a rough one. Upon reflection, I can’t really tell you one particular thing that made it so hard. Did Katt Williams kick off the chaos? He was absolutely right about the exposure of truth this year. I feel like the haze of the pandemic sleepworking is wearing off and we are slowly getting to see things revealed behind the curtain (by the way, Wicked was great). Christmas felt a little less “Christmas-y” because there was so much going on. Going into 2025--which I thought I’d never say, I want to be more intentional with my energy. Time has really flown by and the adage “get right or get LEFT” really means something these days.
Things I want to do better: Tell my story.
Everyone has a story. And everyone deserves to have their story told. If it resonates with others depends on HOW the story is told.
I’ll start with creating more than I consume. Making more and better expression. In an age where everyone can passively watch others live out and experience life, I’d like to make an effort to be in the moment.
How do I do that? Connection matters. I can talk to myself all day (I do, I’m an only child). But that doesn’t help us to feel human, share emotions or information. I need you to see my humanity.
Alignment. What do we all want out of life? Is it a zero sum game? Can you help me? Can I help you? I feel like I’ve allowed propaganda to make me feel like we are all so divided in this country that there isn’t much I can do to show a different perspective.
But there is power in trying. Power in hope. Power in believing that motion (with good intention) is good. It’s progress. And progress is what I need in 2025.
