Shrimp Pasta--I happen to have had all the ingredients for this pasta one day--but noticed that I only had the gluten free penne pasta I accidentally purchased...My first thought was "if I ruin all this good Costco oversized shrimp, I will be LIVID. But it came out SO GOOD! So I wanted to share the recipe with you!
1 Box gluten free penne pasta
Shrimp
2 cups of raw large shrimp
1 tsp vegetable oil
Cajun seasoning (Tony's Chachere)
garlic powder
paprika
salt
black pepper
cayenne pepper
chili powder
2 tbs unsalted butter
Sauce
2 tbs butter
1 tbs minced garlic

Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, paprika, black pepper, chili powder, cayenne pepper in a bowl
Add all of penne pasta to a large boiling pot of water, adding a dash of salt
Let pasta boil for 11 min
Drain pasta and set aside
Place butter in a skillet until melted, and place seasoned shrimp to cook for 3-6 min on each side; remove shrimp from skillet and place on plate
Add butter to skillet, when melted add garlic until translucent
Add flour and whisk for 3 min
Slowly add milk to mixture
Add in parmesan cheese and stir, let thicken
Immediately add in pasta, then shrimp and fold into the cheese mixture
